# Azure Groups

**Azure Groups**

Azure groups let you import a group and all its users from your Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID) at once, and use it to create an employee directory on your station.

Azure groups stay in sync with Azure. When users are added to or removed from the group in your Azure portal, the changes are applied automatically in Virtual Front Desk.

To use Azure groups, you must first complete the [Microsoft Teams integration](https://help.virtualfrontdesk.com/en/article/ms-teams-integration-for-video-calls-call-queue-auto-attendant).

## **Step 1. Connect your Azure directory**

1. Click the gear icon next to your name, then under **Organization**, select **Integrations**.
2. Under **Microsoft Azure directory**, connect your directory.
3. Choose between **full directory access** and access to **your groups only**.
4. Accept the Microsoft permissions request.

## **Step 2. Sync an Azure group**

1. In the main menu, click **User management**, then open the **Groups** tab.
2. Under **Sync with Azure**, search for the Azure group in **Select an Azure group to create an Employee Directory**.
3. Select the group to import it with all its users.

The **Synced from Azure** counter at the top of the Groups tab shows how many of your groups are linked to Azure.

## **Step 3. Add the employee directory to your station**

On your station, create a button with the **Video call group** action and select the Azure group. Visitors can then find and call anyone in the group.

## **How the sync works**

- **New users** found in the Azure group are added to your Users list and to the group.
- **Users removed** from the Azure group are removed from the group only. They stay in your Users list because they may be used elsewhere. To remove them completely, delete them from **User management > Users**.

**Note:** In a visitor sign-in form, an Azure group works like a regular group. Its call queue option is turned on by default to avoid conference calls in Microsoft Teams.
